Science Helper Video Series
The Science Helper Video Series, designed to compliment Science Helper K-8 and Enhanced Science Helper, is a professional development tool designed to increase the confidence and boost the skills of elementary science teachers. The videos combine science content with exciting pedagogy — making science fun to teach as well as exciting to learn.
Developed by science educators and media specialists working under an NSF grant, the series consists of 5 subject videos: Forces & Motion, Opposing Forces, Circular Motion, Machines, and Pressure—plus 3 teaching technique videos. Each includes print materials and actual classroom footage. The Pedagogy video and Teaching Tips sections on each content video provide support for the Standards on teaching and professional development.
