Scientists, curriculum specialists, and classroom teachers collaborated in the development and field-testing of the instructional materials on the Culture & Technology CD-ROM. The original development and field-testing represent millions of dollars in National Science Foundation funding. Some of the features of Culture & Technology include:


  1. A powerful search and retrieval system quickly finds resources relevant to you teaching objectives.


  1. Searches may be done by choosing any combination of criteria: grade level, academic subject, words or phrases, science and social studies processes, content themes, and supplementary materials.


  1. Contains dramatic video and audio segments


  1. Provides a powerful tool for: science and social studies teachers grades 5-12; Science, Technology, and Society teachers; district science and social studies supervisors; curriculum committees; life management skills teachers; teacher training specialists; researchers; publishers; parents; and students.




Macintosh Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: Any Macintosh with 4 megabytes of RAM or more, 2 megabytes of free memory, using system 7.0 or higher

Recommended Requirements: 8 megabytes of RAM, 3 megabytes of free memory


Windows Requirements:

IBM compatible with 386SX processor or better

4 MB RAM
